In April of 2024, Bill Morosco became the fourth head coach in the history of men's basketball at Lynn University. In his three previous head coaching roles, Morosco won 20 or more games during each of the first seasons. His ability to immediately produce successful programs on and off the court made him Lynn's top choice after a national coaching search.

"We are thrilled to welcome Bill and his wife Sam, to our Lynn athletics family," said Kathy Kroupa, athletics director for Lynn. "Coach Morosco has a proven record of building successful basketball programs, and his commitment to the development of student-athletes in all aspects of their lives makes him a tremendous fit for Lynn. I'm excited for the program's future under his leadership."

Morosco spent the past two seasons as head coach at Indian River State College (IRSC), an NJCAA Division I team, leading the Pioneers to 49 wins and two NJCAA South Atlantic District Men's Basketball Quarterfinal appearances. In 2022–23, IRSC won 24 games, including the Southern Conference Championship, leading Morosco to earn the Southern Conference Coach of the Year award.

This past season, the Pioneers won 25 games, and Morosco collected his 100th career win in mid-February with a 73–71 victory over Miami-Dade.

"I want to thank Dr. Kevin Ross and Director of Athletics Kathy Kroupa for their trust and belief in me as the next leader of the Lynn University men's basketball program," said Morosco. "I am excited for what the future holds for this program with a great tradition."

Morosco is no stranger to the Sunshine State Conference, serving as an assistant coach at Barry University in 2018–19. The Buccaneers won 18 games that season and ranked as high as 12th in the NABCA National Poll.

"I also want to thank Coach Price and his staff for leaving this program in great condition," said Morosco. "I've always believed in leaving things better than you found it, and I appreciate Coach Price for doing that here at Lynn."

A 2012 graduate of the University of Florida, Morosco also spent time coaching at NCAA Division I Presbyterian College (2016–17), The Citadel (2015–16) and University of California, Davis (2014–15). In his one season on the West Coast, UC Davis won the Big West regular season championship with a 25–7 record and made the program's first appearance in the postseason with a bid to the NIT Tournament.

"We are going to put together a program the fans will be excited to cheer for," said Morosco. "We'll have student-athletes that everyone will be proud of. Go Fighting Knights!"

Additional coaching highlights

2019–20 season

During Morosco's first head coaching stop, he led Independence Community College (NJCAA Division I) to 37 wins, including 23 victories in his first season, the most in nearly a decade. Morosco helped the Pirates advance to the Region IV Tournament quarterfinals, ranking 19th in the Massey Ratings. The COVID pandemic shortened Morosco's second season at the helm, but Independence ascended to 10th in the national rankings and again advanced to the Region IV Tournament quarterfinals.

2021–22 season

Morosco guided Garden City Community College (NJCAA Division I) to the best year in program history with a 22-10 record and its highest-ever national ranking of 12th. The Broncbusters advanced to the NJCAA Region IV Tournament semifinals and boasted the KJCCC Player of the Year and a First Team All-American.

Thanks, Coach Price

Jeff Price, the former head coach for men’s basketball stepped down after the conclusion of the 2023–24 season. In his 17 years at Lynn, he amassed 242 wins with eight post-season appearances, including three Sweet 16's, one Elite 8, and in 1997, a trip to the Final Four. Price plans to spend time coaching his daughter Abby's basketball team. We wish Jeff and his family the best and thank him for his contributions to men's basketball.
