Ripples of influence

Lynn alumni make an impact across South Florida's largest public-school districts.

Across the classrooms and school leadership offices in South Florida, Lynn University alumni from the Donald E. and Helen L. Ross College of Education are helping shape the educational experience of more than 735,000 children and adolescents. The College of Education offers bachelor's, master's and a doctoral degree where faculty deliver experiential learning moments for students to merge research and practice.

The programs challenge future teachers to develop intellectually and personally with the knowledge, skills and competencies required of successful educators. Over 160 Lynn graduates work in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade public schools, bringing their expertise to some of the region's largest and most diverse school systems. Many of the graduates now serve as principals, district administrators and instructional leaders throughout Florida.

Lynn's graduate education programs have also consistently earned national recognition from U.S. News & World Report—but the influence of the College of Education is perhaps best measured not by rankings but by what its graduates accomplish after they leave campus.

As success stories continue to build up, current students are maintaining their focus in educational development by gaining classroom experience, substituting in local schools, completing extensive fieldwork and learning from professors who remain active practitioners. Together, faculty, alumni and students demonstrate how a quality Lynn education extends beyond campus and into the communities they serve.
