A mission of giving back

Donors make Lynn University the innovative institution it is today.
Hand giving gift

Lynn University benefits from the generosity of the E.M. Lynn Society donors, whose cumulative giving exceeds $1 million. From 2018 to 2025, these members, including several anonymous donors, made a significant impact on campus and for Lynn students.

Mary and Harold Perper
Elaine Wold
Christine E. Lynn
Will Rehrig
Jamie and Steve Snyder
  1. Christine E. Lynn: Christine's gift of $15 million for construction of the university center—the largest gift in the institution's history—allowed the university to complete its Lynn 2020 plan two years ahead of schedule. Her most recent contributions include the Christine E. Lynn Endowed Scholarship and support for faculty-endowed scholarships. Christine and her late husband, Eugene, are the university's greatest benefactors.
  2. Mary and Harold Perper: The Perpers contributed to Lynn with 30 years of consecutive gifts. Their final estate gift placed the Perpers as the second-highest lifetime donors, with over $19 million.
  3. Elaine J. Wold: Elaine Wold's abundant philanthropy represented more than a financial contribution to an organization. It was a blessing for all who would receive, and benefit from, her and her late husband’s gift of the Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center and her continued support of the Conservatory. In addition, she made many other gifts over decades to Lynn University.
  4. Will Rehrig: The Rehrig family's annual contributions support the J.B. Rehrig Endowment, an endowed scholarship which has provided financial assistance to Lynn students since 1999. Will Rehrig is a member of Lynn's Board of Trustees, and his father Brad was also a trustee. The Rehrig family is the largest contributor to Lynn’s endowment.
  5. Jamie and Steve Snyder: Vice Chair of Lynn's Board of Trustees Steve, and his wife, Jamie, funded the Snyder Center for Health and Wellness, a 20,000-square-foot space offering professional services and a fitness center. Steve and Jamie’s previous gift in 2014 established the Snyder Sanctuary.
Karen and Kevin Lynch
Dick Schmidt
Barbara Gutin
Al Zucaro and Yvonne Boice

6. Karen S. and Kevin M. Lynch: The Lynch family's pledge of $5 million supports academic programs, scholarships and the Karen S. Lynch Center for Leadership and Social Impact.

7. Dick Schmidt: The Schmidt Family Foundation funded the boutique-style Schmidt Family Campus Store and most recently created a multi-year annual scholarship for entrepreneurship students in the College of Business and Management.

8. Barbara Gutin: After naming the living room in the university center, Barbara created a scholarship for students who utilize the Institute for Achievement and Learning.

9. Al Zucaro and Yvonne S. Boice: To heighten Lynn's ability to attract international students and provide life-changing study-abroad opportunities, Yvonne and Al established the Boice-Zucaro International Programs and Services office and scholarships.

George Elmore and Mari LaTour
Elaine and Larry Smith
Arthur and Caryn Levison
Marilyn and Mark Swillinger
Steve and Marla Garchik

10. George Elmore and Marti LaTour: George Elmore's latest gift of $500,000 through the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties was graciously created for an endowed scholarship.

11. Elaine and Larry Smith: With a love for athletics, Larry and Elaine Smith gifted a cardio and fitness area and a student-athlete strength and conditioning space inside the Snyder Center for Health and Wellness.

12. Arthur and Caryn Levison: The Levisons continue to fund the Daniel and Harriet Freed Endowed Scholarship, which benefits Lynn University Conservatory of Music students.

13. Marilyn and Mark Swillinger: As a former president of the Lynn University Friends of the Conservatory of Music Board, Marilyn contributed greatly to music education throughout her life. Today, Mark is continuing her giving spirit by donating $1 million to fund scholarships, classrooms and learning spaces.

14. Steve and Marla Garchik: The Garchiks and their foundation pledged $1 million to fund scholarships, ensuring that high-performing students with financial needs have access to quality education.
