In support of its 2025 strategic plan, Lynn University prioritized expanding community collaborations to create new opportunities for students and employees to grow. From hospitality internships and film production to supporting local and global organizations, these meaningful partnerships offer real-world experiences. Together, we are equipping the next generation of professionals, citizens and changemakers with the skills and confidence to lead with purpose.

Career readiness opportunities

Lynn's collaborators help students develop the skills they need to thrive in today's evolving workforce.

Nearby at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC), Lynn's NFT Museum offers students the platform to showcase their digital artwork, in a modern, immersive installation for the Boca community.

Working alongside industry experts is a key part of students' career readiness. Through internship and career placements with Related Ross, the largest commercial property owner in downtown West Palm Beach, students contribute to impactful projects. Similarly, the annual Delray Beach Open tennis tournament offers valuable volunteer experience in assisting with ushering, hospitality, marketing and transportation.

"Education, talent development and collaboration with top institutions like Lynn University are crucial for building a thriving city," said Jordan Bargas, senior vice president at Related Ross.

Lynn's impact also extends through specialized programming and international collaboration. In partnership with the Broward County Sheriff's Office (BSO), Lynn's Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) program created a custom curriculum to strengthen officers' leadership, organization and administrative skills.

The university also launched the Lynn-Dart Hospitality Training Programme with Dart, a Cayman Islands-based global organization investing in real estate, hospitality, finance and entertainment. As part of the program, Lynn faculty delivered two weeks of valuable curriculum on travel, tourism, hospitality and customer service.

Making a positive impact locally and globally has always been a top priority for Lynn University.

Located on the third floor of Christine E. Lynn University Center, the Social Impact Lab (SIL) was created to help students leverage the power of business for good. The lab offers local and global opportunities for students to engage in philanthropic programs focused on citizenship, civility and sustainability.

Students also participate in service projects with 30 collaborators as part of the annual Citizenship Project, a four-week program to empower students to engage with their community. Other programs include Lynn+ Watson, which fosters social impact and entrepreneurship. The United Nations Millennium Fellowship has supported initiatives such as launching a nonprofit in Rwanda, raising funds to build schools in Uganda, empowering social enterprises with marketing strategies and creating mental health awareness campaigns.

Coworking spaces

The lab is also home to six coworking spaces for mission-driven organizations that support internships, workshops and guest speaker engagements. The organizations document the students' engagements, which are then included in the Social Impact Lab annual impact report.

"Our graphic designer and social media strategist, Sophia Fuguet '24, '25, was nothing short of exceptional. Thanks to her hard work, our brand is visible, audience engagement has improved and social media channels are cohesive," said a representative at Scholar Career Coaching.

Some of our long-standing organizations and student engagements:

  • Hispanic Entrepreneur Initiative hired interns to help manage their social media, marketing, grant research and writing. They hosted entrepreneurship programs, retreats, speaker panels and networking sessions.
  • Scholar Career Coaching hired interns to support events, digital marketing, social media, photography and media.
  • Boca Raton Champions Golf Charities operates the PGA TOUR Champions' event in Boca Raton, the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational. Lynn students have the opportunity to intern or volunteer with the annual event to gain first-hand experience with a professional event.
  • Community Greening delivered impact series presentations on sustainability and community and also hosted Watson Institute students for volunteer work at their tree nursery.
